Combining SELPAXT with other PFAS technologies, such as granular activated carbon (GAC), reverse osmosis (RO) and/or Ion Exchange can increase the total amount of PFAS molecules captured. This is because SELPAXT is capable of concentrating ultra-short, short-chain and long-chain PFAS, whereas other technologies offer limited efficacy on ultra-short and short-chain PFAS.

While other PFAS technologies, including GAC and RO, can require frequent media replacements in complex water streams, integrating SELPAXT into the treatment train can reduce the need for frequent filter or membrane replacements, thus reducing costs and optimizing PFAS remediation rates.
