How SELPAXT effectively removes PFAS from water

Health-hazardous PFAS chemicals are contaminating the environment globally. Watch how SELPAXT by Chromafora effectively removes PFAS from water.

PFAS accumulate in landfill leachate, industrial wastewater and water and wastewater treatment plants.

The SELPAXT process is offered as a container solution. The technology operates similarly to conventional ultrafiltration systems, with the addition of proprietary SELPAXT chemicals – which are continuously dosed – ensuring long-term efficiency and consistent removal of 80 to 99% of both long and short PFAS chains.

PFAS are selectively retained and concentrated on the membrane barrier. The liquid PFAS concentrate, along with minor co-contaminants, is intermittently discharged during the regeneration cycle – normally only 0.1% of treated volume – and is ideal for any customer specified destruction technology.

Once treated, 99.9% of the water can either be released into recipients, reused as industrial process water, or further treated at a wastewater treatment plant.

SELPAXT is ideal for treating complex water streams with high PFAS concentration – especially short-chain PFAS. SELPAXT delivers consistent performance over time and tolerates high levels of interfering co-contaminants.
